Width: select 8
Decimals: select 0
Label: write Performance
Values: select None
Missing: select None
Columns: select 8
Align: select Right
Measure: Select Scale
Role: Select Input
The screen will look like the picture below.
2. After that, click Data View, then enter data Competence in column X and Performance data in column Y
3. From the menu in SPSS, select the Analyze - Regression - Linear
4. The "Linear Regression" dialog appears, then enter the Performance [Y] variable into the Dependent column. Then enter the Competence [X] variable into the Independent(s) column, then click Plots...
5. A "Linear Regression: Plots" dialog appears, then give a check mark (V) to the Normal probability plot, then click Continue
6. The last process click Ok. So at the end, the SPSS Charts output appears.
Decision Making Procedure for Normal Probability Plot Test
Interpretation Normal Probability Plot Test for Regression in SPSS
Based on Normal Chart Probability The above plot, we can see that the existing points always follow and approach the diagonal line. Thus, it can be concluded that the residual value is normally distributed so that the regression analysis procedure has been fulfilled.
